Hi friends! I am dying to get my hands on an egg chair, I feel like they have been everywhere lately! I have the most perfect corner in my bedroom, but I am having trouble pulling the trigger on spending $300+ on a chair mostly for decoration…so I decided to take a deep dive to see if I could find anything cheaper! Unfortunately in terms of “egg chairs” they are all around the same $300 price tag. Even though I could not find many specific egg chairs under $300, I did find many alternatives that have the same style and aesthetic for a fraction of the price! I will definitely be purchasing #6 to put in my bedroom corner, I think it will give off the same overall vibe, I am so excited!
4) Walmart $297 – Currently out of stock, but sign up for updates!
5) Serena & Lily $198 – Not necessarily an egg chair, but same exact design details, materials, and coloring!
6) World Market $230 – This is my TOP pick! I am so happy I came across this find! This is the best egg chair dupe I could find under $300, and I think this is the one I am going to order for my bedroom! It is less bulkier and has all of the same design details as the traditional egg chair!
Hello friends! I am back today with another home makeover post! One of my favorite parts of owning my first home is designing every room from the ground up. I’ve completed the design for almost every room inside our home, and I thought it was about time to begin on the design plans for our patio! Now we do not have the largest patio space, but it is such a cute and cozy area to relax in. I imagine drinking coffee in the mornings, and lounging under the stars in the evenings and I am just too excited!
With every room design I’ve done for our house, I always create a design plan. My design plans include colors for the space, patterns, and the pieces of furniture or decor I want to incorporate. I partnered up with Wayfair to create the design plans for my backyard bungalow, and I am seriously obsessed! As you all know, I am in love with the Moroccan tile design and all things neutral and grey. The decor in our home is greatly influenced by these design aspects, and I wanted our outdoor space to follow! I decided to stay with the main design element of grey Moroccan pattern, but also incorporate navy blue for a flare of color. I love how everything is coming together, and I already have some of these pieces on the way! I think it is important to keep a consistent decor theme throughout your home including the outdoor space! If you are planning to redesign a new room or outdoor space in your home, I highly encourage you to start with a design plan! This will help you ensure all of your pieces coordinate and fit into the aesthetic you are envisioning! Below are links to all of my top picks for my backyard design, happy patio season!
Hello friends! I am coming to you today with the EASIEST DIY tutorial! I love the look of farmhouse garage doors, I think they make a huge difference in the curb appeal of a home. While new garage doors are definitely not on the top of our home renovation list, I found the easiest way to mimic the look with magnetic hardware! I wasn’t quite sure how easy or nice this project would turn out, but I am SO happy with the outcome! Everything you need can be found on Amazon prime, and it took me 15 minutes to do!
Step 1: Clean Garage Doors First thing first, clean! This is not necessary, but I wanted to make sure we were putting the magnets on a clean surface, so I simply took a sponge with some household cleaner and wiped down the areas I would be working on.
Step 2: Add Windows Time to add our “windows”! Using painter’s tape, measure out a + on each of your garage door squares. Ensure that the horizontal line on each square is at the same height so all of your windows line up! You can use a measuring tape to assist with this, but I found that eyeballing it worked perfectly fine! Once your tape + is up, stick on the magnetic square to each quadrant. Peel away the tape and you have your windows! I am really impressed with the quality of these magnetics, the suction is extremely strong! Repeat this step for all “windows”.
Step 3: Add Hardware Once the windows are up, it is time to add the hardware! Again these magnets are extremely strong, so they basically flew out of my hand and attached to the door! You can place the hardware anywhere you like, but I chose to place one of mine below the first row of the door and one above the last row of the door. I popped the handles in the middle and that is it! A completely new set of doors in under 15 minutes!

Hi friends! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Today I am sharing my favorite Amazon home finds! Given the current global situation, my routine trips to HomeGoods and Hobby Lobby have been cut short, but luckily Amazon is still in full swing, so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pieces I’ve found for our home!
1) Mercury Glass Curtain Rods – we currently have these on all of our living room windows and they are BEAUTIFUL!
2) Cathedral Mirrors – I have two of these on either side of a canvas in our dining room and I am in love. They are such a steal for the price and the detailing is gorgeous!
3) Blue and White Terracotta Vases – I wanted to bring some Mediterranean flair into our decor, and these three vases do just that! I currently have them displayed on our dining room table.
4) Tin Bread Box – Not much to explain here, I have this our on our kitchen counter and it is a cute way to hide away all of our bread!
5) Treat Jar – Such a cute jar to keep all of Luana’s treats in!
7) Mercury Glass Vases – I think these are my favorite find! I have them mixed with the terracotta vases on the dining room table, and they reflect the light in the most beautiful way!
9) Wooden Ladder – A ladder is a perfect way to fill a corner in a room! Simply drape a few pretty throw blankets over and it is an instant makeover!
10) Boxwood Wreath – We have one of these on our door to the basement and it adds a little touch of color and life!

Hellllo friends! I am super excited to share this week’s blog post with you all! My rustic farmhouse pitchers are some of my all time best sellers in my Details and Swirls shop! I live-letter these pitchers at all of my pop-up shops, and I know so many of you all have them! They are one of my favorite things to make, and I absolutely love how versatile they are. Whenever I post a picture of mine styled in a different way, you all ask so many questions on what I use to fill them, so I wanted to write all about how I style my pitcher for different seasons!
Classic Farmhouse – All Season
When my house is not decorated with seasonal decor, hues of grey, sage, and white fill my home! On a normal basis I have my pitcher filled with a mixed of eucalyptus and cotton stems! If you are looking for something a little smaller than the cotton, small white faux flowers work perfect to mix with the eucalyptus!
During Fall and Christmastime I love to fill my pitchers with seasonal picks instead of faux flowers! You can find beautiful seasonal picks at hobby lobby, michaels, and even amazon! I linked some of my favorites below, but you can either fill your pitcher with a mix of picks, or pop a few in with your eucalyptus!
During Springtime I love adding a pop of color to my pitcher! I added some faux tulips into my eucalyptus and it immediately added the perfect Spring touch to my decor!
Last, but certainly not least, I love to style my pitchers with a bouquet of real flowers! I will pick up a bouquets from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, and pop them in the center of my dining room table to create a beautiful display!
How do you all style your pitchers?! Send me your photos, I would love to see!!

I love giving all types of gifts, but newlywed gifts are my THING! If you know me, you know I love making and giving all of the personalized gifts, so I rounded up some of my favorites that are perfect for all of the newlyweds in your life!
Not shopping for a newlywed? These would also make the perfect gifts for parents or in-laws!

I am in the process of looking for two matching cathedral mirrors to put up in our dining room! The options are absolutely endless, and I cannot seem to make a decision! I rounded up my nine favorites in the hopes I can start to narrow them down! We will be placing each mirror on either side of a large horizontal canvas photo on our dining room wall. I am so excited to see the finished result!
This week’s DIY makeover has to be one of my favorites! When we first bought our house, there was an old, worn down, and discolored stair runner that NEEDED to go. When we got our floors refinished, we had the flooring professionals remove the runner, and refinish the stairs. While the tops of the stairs now looked beautiful, the backs were discolored from the original rug, and needed some help!
I had been seeing the trend of tiled stair risers, and was in LOVE! Everything in our home is modeled after grey moroccan tile, so I fell in love with the idea of adding this design detail to our stairs. Now the stairs definitely are not the focal point of our home, but I still believe carrying prominent design details throughout the entire house is really important to form a cohesive design.
Soon after researching tile for the stair risers, I realized it was not in the budget. What I did stumble across were tile STICKERS! Now I did not even know these existed, but I am completely in love. I decided to purchase stickers to adhere to every other stair riser, and I got them from this Etsy shop!
After finalizing our design plan, it was time to prep the stairs. We sanded all of the stair risers and removed any leftover staples still remaining from the runner. Next, any stair risers we were not putting stickers on we painted white. When it came time to apply the stickers, I was SHOCKED as to how easily they applied! It took me about 10 minutes in total, and the material of the stickers are durable and super adhesive!
We still need to touch up the white paint in spots above the stickers we did not get to before, but what do you all think of the finished result?!
From the moment I stepped foot in our breezeway, I knew I wanted to create a beautiful entryway space! The neon yellow of the walls did not blind my vision, and I could not wait to start creating! As I began brainstorming ideas for the space, I originally thought I wanted an entryway tree bench. If you do not know what these are, they are basically benches with a back panel attachment equipped with shelves and hooks on top. The more I looked at these pieces, the more I felt they were too small for the space. I really wanted something that would extend the entire length of the 6 foot wall, and I just could not find anything I liked!
So what to do when you cannot find anything you like? Design it yourself! Once I realized I could create my own entryway design, the options became endless! I started searching for the perfect benches, hooks, shelves, and calligraphy laser cut letters of course! I am so happy with the outcome, and even happier I get to see this space every day when I walk into our home!
Before we began any design details, we needed to PAINT! I am not sure why the breezeway was painted a neon yellow, but we painted over with Benjamin Moore’s Shoreline. This color brightened up the space (which is odd, because you would think it could not get brighter than neon yellow!) and neutralized the whole room. I would be lying if I said the panels were easy to paint, but it actually took us HOURS to get in all of the small crevices!
After the space was clean and painted, it was time to finalize design! I ordered this bench which I was SO excited about! I wanted something that fix my style, but also hid shoe storage, and this piece did both! Unfortunately it too THREE tries for this piece to get delivered in one piece, but you know what they say, third time’s the charm!
Next, I took to Etsy to find the rest of the details for my design! I had been eying these letters for the longest time! I knew I wanted something other than “welcome” and this phrase and mix of script and print felt perfect!
This Etsy shop is awesome because they let you preview the letters in all of their different text options! I chose their script “Betterfly”
Time to find hooks! This part was fairly easy, and a quick Etsy search led me to the perfect black hooks! I needed 10 (one for every panel) and this pack of 10 seemed like it was made to be!
Finally, I took to Etsy one last time to search for the perfect floating shelf. I needed one that was 6 feet long, and I wanted it stained black to match the bench details, letters, and hooks. These specific requirements led me to find this shelf! I did have to custom order my size, but I cannot say enough good things about this shop! The shelf is beautiful, and was SO easy to put together, it seriously took 60 seconds.
So what do you all think of the finished result?! I am beyond happy with how the design turned out, and I cannot wait to start decorating this space for the upcoming seasons!
We bought our first home! There are so many nostalgic pieces about this home and this neighborhood. For starters my 93-year-old grandpa lives a few houses down in a house he built! Our yard backs up to my grandpa’s late brother’s house, and my two cousins live down the road! We are truly grateful to be surrounded by so many memories and family. Knowing that my grandpa and great uncle both built their houses in this neighborhood over 65 years ago, it was safe to assume that our 1957 cape was going to need some updating!
Since our upstairs bathroom is a COMPLETE gut job and renovation (I’m talking floor to ceiling yellow tile), we did not want to put too much money in our downstairs bathroom. The once blue wall tile was re-glazed white by the previous owners, but the original 50s tiled floor needed a change. I decided instead of living with the dated floor tile, I would try PAINTING the tile! I could not be happier with the outcome, and I am sharing the entire process below!
The process can easily be completed over the course of one weekend. It really only takes an hour or so, and waiting for the layers to dry was the longest part!
Original tile!
Step 1: Tape First we started by taping off the perimeter of floor to ensure no paint got on the tub, wall, tile, or toilet!
Step 3: Strip Tile This was equally the most disgusting and satisfying step in the process! As you can imagine, original 1957 tile has A LOT of built up dirt and grime. The tile stripper lifted all of this to the surface, and man was it satisfying to mop it away! We applied the tile stripper (mixed with water) with a small scrubber brush (don’t forget to wear a mask, this stuff is STRONG)! Let stripper sit on tile for about 10 minutes and then rinse clean with water and dry! This step is crucial because primer bonds to clean tile the best!
Tile Stripper: $13 – We used Zep tile stripper from Lowe’s, I could not find it on Amazon, but if you go into your locale Lowe’s they can direct you to it! Scrub Brush: $6
Step 4: Prime Using a paint roller, cover entire floor with bonding primer, let dry 1-2 hours.
Step 5: PAINT! Once the primer has dried, it is time to paint! We decided to do 3 coats of paint to ensure the color was opaque and there were no colored tiles showing through. Let the paint dry thoroughly between coats, and I suggest letting the final coat set for atleast a full day and night! Unfortunately some of the workers in our house stepped on the tile before it was completely dried, and we had to do a touch up!
And the finished result?! Floors that look crisp and BRAND NEW!
